9/11: Where were YOU?
This day will NEVER be the same.
What were you doing when the news broke? Who were you with? How did you feel?
As a New York native, I remember thinking of my mother who worked a couple of blocks from the world trade center. Thinking about my sister, cousins, and friends in New York.
I remember just being stuck for a moment and turning the radio up. I remember trying to call everyone and my phone not working and service being down. I remember wanting to be HOME. I remember having a heavy heart. Unlike many, I was blessed. My family was safe and my mom didn’t go to work that day. Today we remember the families and their loved ones. We REMEMBER 9/11.
